Race
Developed in close cooperation with our World Cup ski mountaineering athletes, Atomic Backland 65 UL is the ultimate speed machine. Flying uphill and charging downhill, its ultralight construction is designed to give you a competitive advantage on the way up and its optimized rocker makes this ski super stable for downhill performance. Built with the Ultra Light Woodcore, the UL range offers the lightest ski Atomic makes. The Full Cap construction features a super thin HRZN Tech tip that busts through chop and crud with authority. The ski also features a carbon construction for enhanced stability, a cut-out notch in the tip for fixing skins quickly during races and our World Cup base finish. The Backland 65 UL is the ski of choice for Atomic’s World Cup Skimo Team.
The Atomic Backland Binding series is built to get you uphill – and down. For ultimate convenience, take the Backland Autoclimb, featuring the Automatic Climbing Aid, which adapts to the slope angle as it gets steeper. The Backland Tour is lightweight and durable, with our patented step-in aid. The Backland Pure is as simple and lightweight as it gets, with a leash option for experienced ski-runners. No matter your uphill objective, Atomic makes a binding that gets you there. The Atomic Backland Tour is a convenient and really lightweight tech binding for alpine touring. Like all Backland gear it’s incredibly durable and easy to use: it features a patented step-in aid at the front so your boot is automatically positioned to click in.
Climb, climb and climb some more. Endurance touring is a growing sport and if it’s your thing then the Atomic Backland Ultimate is for you. A great ski for alpine touring, Atomic Backland 80 SL is built with superlight SL Fiberglass, Ultra Light Woodcore and a Carbon Backbone to reduce overall weight for efficient uphill performance. A bit narrower than the Backland 86 SL, this smooth, stable, and super lightweight ski loves to climb. Solid on the way down, the All Mountain Rocker allows the ski to blast through variable conditions and the Carbon Backbone provides exceptional agility and stable edge grip on the descent.
