Backland 3D Platinum liner features an anatomical 3D construction with Dry Fit foam that evenly wraps the foot for a sensational fit. Dry Fit foam is lightweight and versatile for the ascent while offering optimised downhill performance. It is also more dimensionally stable than EVA foam.    

Dura Shield
Dura Shield is a 2-layer protection for the inner boot. Above the tear-resistant mesh fabric is a TPU layer that protects the inner boot from damage caused by rivets or sharp edges on the shell, and thus significantly increases the longevity of the inner boot.    

Free/Lock 3.5
Robust external descent/walk mechanism on the Backland Ultimate that can be operated with just one hand. Thanks to this mechanism with a forward angle of 13° and 15°, the shell opens automatically, allowing a quick and easy change of mode. In addition, the Dyneema rope has been improved and is now more durable.
