The functions and features of cross-country jackets
Cross-country jackets are specially designed to ensure a smooth endurance training. In the pockets of the jacket you can store your keys, cell phone and snacks while skiing. But cross-country jackets fulfill even more functions and convince with special features to keep you warm and dry on the trail.
Freedom of movement is a must
Freedom of movement is the top priority for cross-country ski jackets. The ski jacket should not constrict you, but support you in all your movements. The right jacket also ensures your safety on the trail. Since it gets dark quickly in the winter months and it is generally a bit darker on days with snowfall, you will need an extra portion of visibility. To remain visible in the dark, many cross-country jackets have reflective details.
The right fit
In order to be able to support you in the best possible way when cross-country skiing, the fit of your jacket is particularly important! Whether for women, men or children - the jacket should always fit so that you can still put on a baselayer without any problems. But the cross-country jacket over it should not be too loose. Of course, each model is slightly different. The rule of thumb, however, is to choose your normal size. Only if the jacket fits properly it will not get in your way during endurance training, but will help you perform your movements perfectly.
