Peregrine 82 + Lowride 13 FR

Völkl Peregrine 82 + Lowride 13 FR Skis with Bindings 26/27

With the Völkl Peregrine 82, you get a versatile piste ski that offers precise control, high stability and an agile ride in a wide variety of snow conditions.

The Peregrine 82 excels on both icy slopes and fresh snow, delighting experienced skiers with its performance. Thanks to the unique Völkl Tailored Carbon Tips, the ski offers greater agility for fast, tight turns in changing conditions. Furthermore, the 3D Radius Sidecut enhances its versatility for a playful ride.

The combination of the new tip geometry and the integrated Tailored Titanal Frame results in more direct, precise and reliable handling with maximum stability. Marker and Völkl have jointly developed the special LowRide XL binding with GripWalk, which enables optimum power transfer and edge grip thanks to its extra-low standing height.

Technology:

3D Multilayer Woodcore
By combining different types of wood and construction methods, an ideal balance is achieved between weight, strength, durability and damping. Stronger, heavier wood is used where power transfer, edge grip and torsional stability are required; lighter, softer wood is used in areas subject to less stress to reduce weight and improve smoothness.

Base P-Tex 4504
Sintered, ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene base with extremely high density. P-Tex 4504 is not only particularly wear-resistant, it also offers the best wax absorption and is extremely fast. At Völkl, this base is used exclusively on top-of-the-range models and racing skis. The material composition has been enhanced with special additives. This results in thermal and electrical conductivity that consistently achieves top marks in terms of glide and speed performance.

3D Radius Sidecut
Three radii in one ski for maximum responsiveness and speed in all-mountain use. Wider radii at the tip and tail – the wider radii at the tip and tail are ideal for wide turns and high speeds. Easy control and manoeuvrability. Less edge catch. No restriction on turn radii and easy exit from turns. Tight turn radius – the tight radius in the centre favours tight turns and moderate speeds. Extremely easy turn initiation. Super responsive. Effortless and smooth in tight turns.

3D.GLASS
Völkl’s 3D.Glass innovation once again enhances a ski’s handling characteristics and stability, particularly in challenging snow conditions. Compared with a classic fibreglass construction, the three-dimensional, multi-folded fabric layers in front of and behind the binding area provide enhanced edge grip and a more responsive rebound of the ski when turning. 1. 3D.GLASS is integrated into the tip and tail of the ski – a flat fibreglass structure beneath the binding makes the centre softer. This enables variable turning radii at any speed. 2. Fibreglass over the sidewall – ensures improved edge grip on icy slopes. 3. Vertical fibreglass structure in the front and rear sections of the ski – greater agility during rapid edge-to-edge transitions.

Full Sidewall
The sidewall, which runs the entire length of the ski, ensures direct and optimal power transfer.

Tailored Titanal Frame
Völkl’s new key technology is called the Tailored Titanal Frame. In contrast to previous construction methods, the width of the Titanal frame is now precisely adapted to each individual ski length. This results in bespoke Tailored Titanal Frames, which sit above the sidewall at the tip and tail of the ski, providing the desired damping and torsional stiffness. The size of the frames is tailored to the skier’s height, ability and strength. This means that longer models have a higher proportion of Titanal for greater stiffness, even more direct power transfer and stronger damping. The shorter the model, the lower the proportion of Titanal, which makes the ski more manoeuvrable, so that even smaller and lighter skiers with less strength can make full use of the ski’s versatility. The result: Tailored Titanal Frame Technology gives every ski an unrivalled combination of responsiveness and speed stability.

iPT Lowride XL
Optimised for wider skis: the 10 mm lower stance height ensures greater agility and better edge grip. KEY FEATURES: Separate heel and toe sections allow for free flex in the centre of the ski / Less effort required to bend the ski / Faster edge changes / Better responsiveness in tight turns. SUITABLE FOR: Hard and variable snow conditions.

Tailored Carbon Tips
In the new, tailor-made carbon tips – the Tailored Carbon Tips – this innovative manufacturing process involves ‘embroidering’ the individual carbon fibres onto a substrate. This allows them to be positioned precisely along the lines of force, which opens up entirely new possibilities, particularly in the tip area. This is because the tip has a decisive influence on the ski’s handling. By adjusting the fibre thickness and aligning them with millimetre precision, stiffness, torsion and, consequently, the ski’s handling characteristics can be specifically tailored. In this way, the fibres channel the dynamic energy to the areas of the ski where it is needed. The visibly integrated Tailored Carbon Tips are lightweight, enable agile tip engagement with less effort and build up energy quickly. As a result, the tailor-made carbon tips take precision, direct tip response and active skiing enjoyment to a whole new level.
