Together with the pros from Black Diamond and the snowacademy, you’ll experience a day full of ski tours, technique training and lots of fun on the Zugspitze – completely free of charge!

  • 1 day of free guiding – “Ski technique for ski tourers” with the experienced snowacademy guides

  • Meeting point: Parking lot at the Zugspitze gondola Eibsee (valley station)
  • Arrival: 08:30 am

What to expect:

  • Start at 09:00: Welcome and briefing
  • Daily program: From 09:00 to 15:30 you will learn everything about skiing technique, ascent techniques and receive an individual video analysis of your skiing technique.
  • End around 16:00

 

Packing list – What you should bring:

  • Touring skis
  • Telescopic poles with large deep snow plates
  • Touring or freeride ski boots  with walking function and a light profile
  • Freeride backpack with chest and waist belt approx. 15-30 l
  • LVS equipment
  • Helmet, ski goggles, sunglasses
  • Functional clothing
  • Insulation clothing/layer and functional underwear (possibly a change of underwear)
  • 2 pairs of gloves, hat, buff/face protection
  • Water bottle/Camelbak
  • Snacks/energy bars

 

Notes:

  • You must organize your own meals during the day.
  • You are responsible for your own arrival and departure.
  • Test material will be provided free of charge. Please note that you must pay the replacement value in the event of damage or loss.

 

Risk management:

Even if the snowacademy guides maximize safety in the mountains, there is always a residual risk when doing snow sports off-piste. Respect the alpine terrain and follow the guides’ instructions to ensure a safe experience for everyone.
