Seven Stages, One Common Goal – and the Choice to Run in a Team or Solo. From September 6 to 12, 2025, the Dynafit Transalpine Run will once again turn the Alps into the stage for one of Europe’s toughest and most fascinating trail running events. Across seven stages, runners will cover around 243 kilometers and more than 15,000 meters of elevation gain, from Lech am Arlberg to Lake Reschen in South Tyrol.
And we at Sport Conrad are proud to be part of it with all our passion.
THE COURSE – FROM LECH AM ARLBERG TO LAKE RESCHEN
The starting gun goes off in the idyllic village of Lech am Arlberg. From there, the route first descends into the valley toward Bludenz, continues into the Brandnertal, crosses the Swiss border into picturesque Klosters, leads through the Swiss National Park to Zernez, and finally passes through the Engadin to Scuol. On the last day, an emotional finish awaits at Lake Reschen – with views of the famous sunken church tower rising out of the water.
The seven stages add up to 243 kilometers with 15,135 meters of ascent and 13,973 meters of descent. Each stage comes with its own challenges: long climbs, demanding downhills, technical trails, and high-alpine crossings that demand focus and surefootedness.

THE RUN2 – GET A TASTE OF TAR IN TWO DAYS
For those who want to experience the spirit of the Transalpine Run without committing to the full week, there’s the Run2 option. This short version covers the first two stages: from Lech am Arlberg to Bludenz, and from Bludenz to Brand. With 69 kilometers, 4,040 meters of ascent, and 4,495 meters of descent, the Run2 may be shorter but is anything but easy. Here too, runners can participate either as a team or as solo starters – and still get that authentic feeling of crossing the Alps.

DYNAFIT – GEAR FOR THE TOUGHEST TRAILS
As title sponsor, Dynafit not only supports the event but also stands for functional and well-thought-out equipment designed specifically for extreme challenges like the TAR. Anyone attempting to cross the Alps needs reliable gear: durable trail running shoes such as the Dynafit Ultra 100 GTX, which provide secure grip even on wet terrain; lightweight and breathable apparel like the Dynafit Alpine Pro 2in1 Shorts or the Dynafit Alpine Wind 2 Jacket, which protect against sudden changes in the weather; and smart running packs such as the Dynafit Vertical 4, hydration system-compatible and built to keep all essentials within easy reach. With the right Dynafit gear, each stage becomes not only manageable, but an unforgettable adventure.
SPORT CONRAD ON SITE – FINISHER BEER, RACE UPDATES & COMMUNITY SPIRIT
At the TAR, Sport Conrad is more than just a spectator. At the finish line of the Run2 and the grand finale of the Transalpine Run, we’ll be waiting with a well-earned finisher’s beer for all participants – a moment of relief and celebration after days of effort.
Our colleague Mirko from the Wielenbach store is running the full distance. As an experienced TAR finisher and nutrition expert, he’ll be reporting directly from the race, sharing valuable insights into race nutrition. His expertise on energy supply, electrolyte balance, and recovery makes him a sought-after source of advice – with tips that are just as useful for ambitious hobby runners as for pros.
Alongside him, a community winner will also take on the TAR, having prepared for this adventure at the Dynafit Athlete Center.
MORE THAN JUST A RACE
The Dynafit Transalpine Run is more than a competition. It’s an experience that connects people, fosters teamwork, and showcases the beauty of the Alps in a truly unique way. Whether as a participant, supporter, or fan – this event is packed with emotions, adrenaline, and unforgettable moments.
