#RideOn – On tour with “Die Rasenmäher”

Who and what are “Die Rasenmäher” – Let’s clear up!

For how many years Die Rasenmäher have been shaping the international bike scene, the two don’t even want to say out loud. Karen Eller and Holger Meyer were both bikers of the first German hour, became bike professionals, won races, wrote books, became part of a special movement.

But above all, biking took them to beautiful places in the Alps and around the world. It also brought them into contact with exciting people and cultures. So the two of them quickly discovered what they particularly enjoy: opening up to others what they themselves find so fulfilling. That was the motivation to found Die Rasenmäher in 2000.

Camps, Events & Adventures

  • It’s about the soul & spirit of mountain biking.
  • It’s about improving your riding technique and discovering the flow.
  • It’s about fulfilling nature experiences, gusto and enjoyment.
  • It’s about trails and tours, fun and responsibility, individual progress and team feeling.

In short, it’s about giving bikers an experience they won’t forget because they learned a lot, discovered a lot of new things and, above all, had an immense amount of fun.

The entire team, around The Lawnmowers, brings this spirit and motivation. It consists of top qualified bikers who have a feeling for each individual rider. Karen and Holger are particularly proud of their crew – and are happy about every single Lawnmower guest who rediscovers this “feeling of life mountain biking” through them.

Time for a Trip: Discover the Family Bike Derby

17. – 19. July 2022 | Dolomiti Paganella, Andalo/Molvenosee, Trentino

At the Family Bike Derby the whole bike family goes on a discovery tour. The Dolomiti Paganella biking area offers plenty of trails for all skill levels and for young and old. In Molveno you float with gondola and chairlift towards the Brenta Dolomites panorama and have with the Big Hero and the Blade Runner two flow trails that make the start of the weekend successful. A trail connection takes you to the biking area of Andalo. Here, lots of flow trails with jumps, northshore elements and steep wall curves await the participants. There is also a pump track that is fun for young and old.

The entire Dolomiti Paganella region also offers many challenging natural trails, for those who prefer that. Families can go on their own and explore the region or participate in the weekend’s guided bike program. Offered are riding technique workshops for young and old, pump track sessions, guided tours and age-appropriate trail riding techniques. After the bike program, a refreshing dive into Lake Molveno is sure to be fun for the whole family. On Saturday there will be a Women Trail Session with Karen Eller and an Enduro Fun Ride with Holger Meyer. At noon, selected mountain huts will provide the participants with local specialties.

In the evening, the experiences of the day are shared during a joint pizza session. The Sunday derby is, of course, mandatory for all family members. Here it’s all about choosing your route as cleverly as possible. The lawnmowers have come up with something special here, prizes are waiting for everyone at the finish line! Don’t worry, it’s not about the time but about the most fun. Test equipment from various industry partners will be available on all days. But please dear families bring your own bikes. Goodies and of course the obligatory event shirt are waiting for all participants. We are looking forward to seeing you!
