The Madshus Race Pro Skin X-Stiff+ is an uncompromising classic-style skin ski for technically skilled and powerful cross-country skiers who expect maximum performance in both training and racing. The X-Stiff+ version features a particularly stiff pre-tension and is designed for high loads and a wide flex range.

The short climbing skin, made from 100 per cent mohair and deeply embedded in the base, offers reliable grip during the push-off whilst also providing excellent gliding properties. Thanks to the progressive milling, the skin pocket is deeper at the ends and shallower in the middle. This reduces skin contact during the gliding phase without compromising secure grip during the push-off.

The Triaxial Construction, comprising interwoven glass and carbon fibres, encases the ski core and ensures high torsional stiffness, direct power transfer and a dynamic skiing experience.

The low Speed Tip Cold tip construction extends the ski’s pressure zone and supports fast, efficient gliding on compact snow. The high-quality P300 Nano World Cup Base also ensures excellent gliding properties for performance-oriented use.

The integrated Madshus Empower System allows ski and flex data specific to each pair to be accessed. Particularly with the X-Stiff+ version, selecting the specific pair of skis based on the skier’s weight and actual pre-tension is especially important.

Recommended ski lengths:

In cross-country skiing, body weight is the key factor in determining the recommended ski length! If two ski lengths are suitable, beginners should tend to choose the shorter one, whilst advanced skiers should tend to choose the longer one.
