Until formation of The North Face, extreme mountaineers had to borrow backpacks, tents and clothing from the army. There was nothing else to get any equipment. The world's leading brand name stands primarily for movement and experiences in the wild nature under extreme conditions in all facets.

Their comprehensive range of collection for men, women and children can be used in the areas of hiking, skiing and snowboarding, mountaineering, training and running. Of course there are also bags, sleeping bags, tents and backpacks in the program. The high-tech fabrics of The North Face

The North Face also plays in the world of versatile high-tech fabrics:

• Ventrix: small airholes open with intense movement and strain. Optimum temperature regulation and wear comfort are guaranteed.
• Thermoball: a new synthetic alternative to down.
• Flashdry™: this fabric lies to the body like a second skin and optimally transports the moisture.
• Down: the manufacturer is very much in favor of animal protection through the RDS (Responsible Down Standards).
• Primaloft®: there is an extended range of Primaloft® with Silver, Gold, Eco and Black Hi-Loft technologies.
• Polartec®: primary insulation layer among experienced outdoor enthusiasts for nearly two decades, these fabrics are available in a variety of unique textures and weights.
• Apex Flex GTX: it`s a rugged, elastic outer layer with a Gore-Tex® waterproof membrane and the soft fabric structure is breathable and absolutely weather resistant.

One of the most important series of The North Face is currently the Summit series, which is numbered in a system of layers to L1-L6. In this series will be all offered from Baselayer, via Midlayer, midlayer with down, Thermoball midlayer, shell jacket and pants to the security jacket with down.
