Our WDU Team – Sustainability is a team sport

Sustainability is a team sport

Better together . That’s why we have our WIR DENKEN UM team, which works with the management to bring improvements and new ideas into everyday life and coordinates various projects, such as our Employees Bazaar or our WDU Day. Team meetings are held regularly to take up ideas as quickly as possible. Each member acts as an ambassador of the respective work area or branch. In order to reflect all areas and different perspectives, our team is interdisciplinary and consists of different employees from our administration and our branches. In the following, we would like to introduce you to the team.

What does sustainability and WIR DENKEN UM actually mean for our team members?

Stefanie, CSR Management

“Our world is not negotiable. For me, sustainability means intergenerational justice. That is why the central question is: Is what we are doing suitable for our children and grandchildren or not? For us as a business enterprise, sustainability means harmonising ecological, economic and social factors. In concrete terms: we calculate our carbon footprint as a basis for developing improvements, we convert our vehicle fleet to electric mobility, tinker with our logistics and our packaging and constantly put our processes to the resource-saving test.”

Fabienne, Branch Garmisch-Partenkirchen

“What does being sustainable mean to me? I try to cycle as much as possible, avoid plastic when shopping, repair my things first rather than replace them immediately, or do without purchases that are actually unnecessary. A small stepp, but a start!“

“I am happy to be part of the WDU team because I also deal with sustainability intensively in my private environment in order to live in a way that conserves resources as much as possible and thus contribute to the preservation of our nature. I believe that every step, no matter how small, is a step in the right direction and I’m happy to go down this path together with Sport Conrad.”

“For me, acting sustainably means showing consideration for my environment and my surroundings in my daily actions.”
