Since 2020, it has been 100% compliant with the Fair Labor Association, which means that all people involved in the production of its products work in safe, healthy and environment friendly conditions. Since 2019, Burton is the first snowboarding company to be B Corp certified, an independent certification that fulfils compliance with high standards for sustainability, social responsibility and transparency. In addition, the Burton US Open has been carbon neutral since 2017 - the goal is to create as little waste as possible.
