From June 18 to 20, 2021, the SALOMON Zugspitz Ultratrail powered by LEDLENSER will celebrate its 10th anniversary. Five course lengths of 25 to 102 kilometers around the Zugspitze are offered at Germany's largest trail run event. The common goal is the Zugspitz village Grainau. The performance is sensational. At the premiere in 2011 700 starters from the region were present, at the anniversary edition in 2020 again 2,500 trail runners* from over 50 different nations will start. For one weekend, the five starting locations Grainau, Ehrwald, Leutasch-Weidach, Mittenwald and Garmisch-Partenkirchen will be transformed into a trail run paradise. On the evening before, the athletes* will get into the right mood for their efforts with a relaxed pasta party. On the course itself, up to ten refreshment stations will be waiting. Germany's biggest trail run event does not only consist of the legendary Ultratrail, with 102.5 kilometers and 5,491 meters of altitude difference in the ascent the most famous distance. Besides the Ultratrail, there are four other trails for different levels of performance: Supertrail XL (82 km), Supertrail (64 km), Basetrail XL (39 km) and Basetrail (25 km).
