On January 24 & 25, 2026, our Nordic Testival will take place and lead you to one of the most beautiful and snow-secure cross-country destinations in Tyrol – Ehrwald. Whether you’re a beginner, a recreational skier, an ambitious athlete or a young up-and-coming talent, everyone will find the right offer here. Look forward to high-quality test equipment from leading brands, professional coaching sessions and workshops, a specially supervised children’s course, as well as a unique winter atmosphere – all of it located directly on the trails!
Who is the Nordic Testival for?
The Nordic Testival in Ehrwald is designed for everyone who wants to try cross-country skiing, improve their technique or experience high-quality test equipment. Whether you are a beginner or already have many kilometers on your skis – here you will find the perfect offering for your level.
At the same time, the Testival is family-friendly and offers a diverse experience for young and old alike. Thanks to dedicated children’s courses (ages 7–12), young cross-country enthusiasts can take their first playful steps on skis, while adults can test equipment in peace or take part in technique workshops. It’s an event where the whole family truly gets their money’s worth.

Which course fits my skill level best?
- Beginner course: You are standing on cross-country skis for the first time and/or cannot yet ski independently.
- Intermediate course: You can ski on your own but want to further improve your technique.
- Advanced course: You already have extensive cross-country experience and solid technique. Here you’ll refine and perfect your skills.

Do I need my own gear?
No! You can test equipment from all brands free of charge. Of course, you can still use your own equipment.
However, if you have your own cross-country skiing equipment, please bring it with you.
Can I participate as a beginner?
Yes! The trails in Ehrwald are perfect for beginners.
Are tickets limited?
Yes – only 160 slots per day (80 in the morning, 80 in the afternoon) for adults and 24 places (12 in the morning, 12 in the afternoon) for children.
Weekend tickets are limited to 80.
Are there parking spaces?
The parking spaces at the Golfino can be used. If they are fully occupied, the parking lot at the sports field can be used (400 m away).
Can I test equipment outside of the course times?
Yes, depending on availability, you can test equipment independently outside of the course sessions. Please note that course participants have priority when it comes to equipment distribution.
What topics are covered in the waxing presentations?
Together with the experts from Swix & Toko, we will show you how to give your skis the perfect finish with minimal effort. You will learn everything important about base repair, edge treatment and choosing the right wax – including pro tips and fascinating insights into snow science. Well-waxed skis not only provide better safety and glide, but also extend the lifespan of your gear.
