As filmmaker Nikolai Schirmer learns that his reclusive childhood friend Vegard Rye is secretly training for what is probably the most extreme ski tour in history 27 mountains in a single, merciless run a completely new challenge begins for him.

While Vegard prepares for his inhuman goal in complete isolation, Nikolai attempts to
accompany this unique project on film and at the same time understand what drives people to such extremes. But the deeper he delves into it, the clearer it becomes: capturing an extraordinary story sometimes means experiencing it firsthand with all the consequences that entails.
