Climate Spring at Sport Conrad
Our activities as part of Klimafrühling Oberland
Klimafrühling Oberland is here again! From 18 April to 5 May 2024, exciting lectures, fun activities and useful workshops for young and old will take place as part of the action weeks. The event platform will be used by educational institutions, initiatives, associations, foundations and companies in the districts of the Oberland to inform citizens about climate protection and encourage them to get involved.
In 2018, under the motto "Wir Denken Um", we developed a sustainability strategy and roadmap for the first time. As passionate outdoor and mountain sports enthusiasts, we believe that an intact environment and the preservation of the Alpine region for future generations is essential. We are pleased to be able to contribute to the Climate Spring 2024 with repair offers, bike checks, our second-hand programme NOMOI and campaigns related to the preservation and development of the local forest. NOMOI sale
Not only does the climate spring start on April 18, 2024, but also the NOMOI sale. What's special: The popular second-hand concept NOMOI will be available in all branches all year round from April 2024.
You can buy and sell outdoor clothing that no longer fits through NOMOI and give it a new life. You can find out more about the second-hand program on our NOMOI page.
Free Repair-Days with Houdini
In collaboration with the Swedish outdoor brand Houdini, we are once again offering the opportunity to have outdoor clothing repaired by experts. Outdoor clothing can often be brought back into shape with little effort, which saves resources and money.
To take advantage of this free offer, simply bring your washed item of clothing in need of repair to our store on one of the dates. Important: per person we accept a maximum of three items of clothing, regardless of the brand. You can find out directly on-site whether your defective zipper can be repaired.

Arbor Day
Trees are usually planted all over Germany on 25 April, Arbor Day. We cannot live without forests. They influence the climate locally and globally by absorbing CO2, releasing oxygen, regulating humidity, protecting against erosion and improving air quality.
On 25 April, from 2.00 pm, young and old can find out more about the forest and its functions at the Sport Conrad Garmisch branch. Together with forester Ferdinand Roesler and a ranger from Oberammergau, young and old will delve deeper into the forest system.
There will also be a visit from the forest kindergarten from 3.00 pm and a tree donation.
Free bike check
Taking the bike instead of the car more often? Great for your carbon footprint and your fitness! The only downside is if your bike doesn't work. We offer a free basic check on selected dates during the Oberland Climate Spring to get the cycling season off to a good start.
Our specialists will check all the relevant components on your bike to ensure they are working properly and safely. Repairs of defective components are not included.

Pub Run Special Edition with Deuter: Keep It Wild
Our Pub Run Community runs every week in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. To celebrate the springtime in the Oberland, we'll be doing a few knee bends for the environment at the Pub Run Special on Wednesday, 1 May. Together with our brand partner deuter, it's all about "pick it up & pack it in". With the help of the deuter rubbish bag, we will collect rubbish and ensure a clean environment. #GrowingTogether – Community Day on May 5th, 2024
Planting trees together - that's what we, the Sport Conrad team, want to do together with our business partners, customers and friends. An intact forest is essential for climate protection.
On 5 May 2024, from 9am, we will be active in the private forest community of Oberammergau, where we will work together under the guidance of foresters and hunters.
We will learn more about the functions of the mountain forest and its importance for humans and animals. For children, the forest adventure starts at 2 p.m. with the rangers of the Oberammergau Nature Park. Be there and register. Click here for more information.
