Meindl Size Chart Shoes Men

Manufacturer Information

If the heel and the edge of the sole are on the same level, the footbed should have about 1 cm or a finger's width of space at the front of the toes. This is due to the fact that you use the mountain boots not only for uphill - but also for downhill and by the downward movement the foot moves a bit forward.

Meindl therefore recommends that you choose Meindl shoes about one size larger than determined by measuring the length of the foot in centimeters.

Size Chart and Shoe Selection - Advice for Meindl Men's Shoes

When buying shoes, it is important to choose the right size and fit. This is the only way to ensure optimal comfort. At Meindl, one of the leading manufacturers of leisure, trekking and hiking footwear, foot health is a top priority. That is why we have developed this guide to help you find the right size and model for your foot type.

How to determine your shoe size

1. When to measure: Your foot size can change throughout the day. Therefore, it is best to measure your feet in the late afternoon or evening when they are at their largest due to your daily activities.

2. How to measure: Stand barefoot on a piece of paper and mark the longest point of your foot (this can be either the tip of the toe or the bottom of the foot). Measure the distance between these two points. This measurement in millimeters is the "Mondopoint Foot Length".

The Mondopoint scale is an international shoe size standard that measures the length of the foot in millimeters. It is more accurate than traditional shoe size scales and is often used for hiking and other specialty footwear. What foot shapes are there? There are different foot shapes.

Understanding your foot shape can help you choose the right shoe

1. Greek foot: In this foot shape, the second toe is longer than the other toe. Greek feet require a wider toe box to prevent pressure points.

2. Egyptian foot: In this foot shape, the first toe (big toe) is the longest, and the other toes curve in an oblique line. Egyptian feet fit well in most shoe styles, especially those with a narrow or pointed toe box.

3. The Roman foot: The first three toes are about the same length. These feet tend to be wider and fit best in shoes with a wider toe box.

4. Hallux valgus: This is a medical deformity in which the big toe bends toward the other toe, creating a bulge on the side of the foot. Shoes for people with hallux valgus should have a wide toe box and extra padding to provide comfort and prevent irritation.

The shape of the foot can greatly affect the fit of the shoe. Therefore, try to choose shoes that fit your foot shape for maximum comfort and performance.
