The Trek Mate 55 + 5 from Salewa is a comfortable trekking backpack - perfect for multi-day, long-distance alpine tours when you need to carry all your gear with you.

The simple and individually adjustable Dry Back Custom carrying system comes with an adjustable back length; shoulder straps, lumbar support, and hip belt are anatomically shaped and padded. Position adjustment straps ensure an optimal fit on long distances, and the pre-shaped hip fins guarantee that the hip belt fits perfectly and the weight is well distributed across your hips.

Thanks to its lightweight construction, the backpack is still very light. The Dry Back System, with its padded EVA back panel and 3D ventilation channels, supports air circulation and breathability – in summer as well as in winter – while the split shoulder straps ensure that this backpack offers plenty of freedom of movement despite its size.

The Trek Mate is made from lightweight, abrasion-resistant double ripstop polyester and has a reinforced base. Large storage compartments offer plenty of space for a change of clothes or tent poles, and there is also a separate front compartment. The front access allows you to reach the main compartment quickly and easily. If necessary, the height-adjustable lid can also be used to increase the backpack's storage space by an additional 5 liters – super practical if you want to take a larger trekking tent with you, for example.

The Salewa Trek Mate 55 + 5 has a protected zippered compartment for valuables and various external attachment options for trekking poles and other equipment. Practical daisy chain loops and additional straps can be used, for example, to store a sleeping pad on the outside of the backpack, creating more space inside.
