With the development of the Fanes TirolWool® Responsive, Salewa has succeeded in creating a functional hybrid bomber jacket. Intelligent materials have been cleverly combined here, and the result is impressive.

The ripstop nylon fabric used in the outer material is water-repellent and windproof. This has been lined with 60 gram light TirolWool® Responsive insulation on the body. The comfortable Sarner knit material is used on the arms. The modern, hybrid jacket stays true to the bomber jacket style thanks to the typical knitted collar and the elastic cuffs on the cuffs and hem.

For additional water and dirt repellency, the outer material has been treated with a PFC-free DWR (durable water-repellent) finish. The regionally sourced wool used for TirolWool® insulation is combed and dyed in Italy. The TirolWool® insulation is then refined with so-called Responsive minerals: Responsive is a mixture of thermo-reactive minerals that are pulverized and melted into a resin, which is then incorporated into the core of recycled polyester fibers. As a result, the tissue has the ability to convert the radiant heat of the body into infrared light, store it and then gradually release it again.
