With the Alp Trainer 2 Gore-Tex® approach shoe, Salewa has manufactured an excellent shoe that offers you a lot of comfort on your excursions in nature and in the mountains.

The shoe is low-cut and the robust upper made of high-quality suede is equipped with a waterproof, breathable Gore-Tex® Extended Comfort membrane and a 360° rubber rand for additional protection against rocks and debris.

Salewa paid special attention to the sole of this alpine approach and trekking shoe. The versatile Vibram Alpine Hiking outsole has a deep, self-cleaning profile for good grip and traction on any terrain. It doesn't matter whether it's soft ground, gravel or rock. For use on via ferrata, the sole has special right-angled lugs under the midfoot for better grip. The climbing lacing of the Salewa Alp Trainer 2 GTX® keeps the foot tightly closed deep in the toe area and thus helps to achieve more precision.

Thanks to 3F technology, the lacing of this approach shoe is connected to the heel and sole at the same time, resulting in a harmonious interplay of fit and support. The EVA midsole provides sufficient cushioning and the Flex Collar offers the ankle more freedom of movement when running downhill. Rough alpine terrain and bad weather are no problem for the Salewa Alp Trainer GTX®.
