The Deuter Futura 24 SL is a lightweight women's-fit hiking backpack for longer day hikes and multi-day trips. It is a good choice for you if you have a shorter back and appreciate effective ventilation together with easy access to your gear.

The Aircomfort back system creates space between the pack and your back to allow plenty of air to circulate. Pivoting ActiveFit shoulder straps and ergonomically shaped hip fins adapt to your movements and distribute the weight evenly between your shoulders and hips. The shorter SL back length and women-specific carrying system provide a close fit on longer hikes.

A large U-shaped front opening gives you direct access to the main compartment without having to unpack the backpack from the top. Two lid compartments, stretch outer pockets and additional storage options help keep your hiking gear organized. Deuter recommends a load of 4 to 8 kg.

SL = women-specific fit
The women-specific nature of the SL back length is already apparent in the back length: on average, women's backs are not quite as long as those of men. The carrying system of the SL models is therefore slightly shorter than that of Deuter's standard backpacks. In addition, the carrying system is specially adapted to the female anatomy.
