The Deuter Freerider 28 SL is a lightweight women's freeride and ski touring backpack for demanding tours in winter terrain. Its SL fit is specifically tailored to the female anatomy, while the close-fitting LiteSnow back system combines low weight with a high level of carrying comfort. This keeps the pack close to your body while allowing freedom of movement on ascents and descents.

The LiteSnow back system is designed to reduce snow build-up and moisture absorption. With a 28-liter capacity and a weight of 980 grams, the Freerider 28 SL combines useful storage space for touring with a low overall weight.

The large U-shaped rear opening provides direct access to the main compartment without having to remove externally attached equipment. Avalanche safety equipment is kept readily accessible in a separate front compartment, while a fleece-lined compartment provides storage for goggles.

SL = women-specific fit
The women-specific nature of the SL back length is already apparent in the back length: on average, women's backs are not quite as long as those of men. The carrying system of the SL models is therefore slightly shorter than that of Deuter's standard backpacks. In addition, the carrying system is specially adapted to the female anatomy.
