The Deuter Freerider 22 SL is a lightweight women's freeride backpack designed for ski touring and backcountry descents. Its women-specific SL carrying system combines a shorter back length with the close-fitting LiteSnow back system, giving you freedom of movement and a stable fit in snowy terrain.

The LiteSnow back system is designed for low weight and winter conditions. Its construction and materials reduce snow build-up and moisture absorption. At 950 grams, the Freerider 22 SL remains lightweight while providing the organization needed for days in the backcountry.

The large rear opening provides access to the main compartment even when skis, a snowboard or other equipment are attached to the outside. A dedicated compartment keeps avalanche safety equipment readily accessible, while skis can be carried at the side or diagonally and a snowboard and ice axe can be attached externally. A detachable mesh helmet holder is also included.

SL = women-specific fit
The women-specific nature of the SL back length is already apparent in the back length: on average, women's backs are not quite as long as those of men. The carrying system of the SL models is therefore slightly shorter than that of Deuter's standard backpacks. In addition, the carrying system is specially adapted to the female anatomy.
