The Deuter Aircontact Core 65 + 10 SL is a women's-fit trekking backpack designed for long treks and multi-day trips with a substantial amount of gear.
The Aircontact back system combines a stabilizing aluminium Y-frame with breathable Air Spacer mesh. ActiveBalance shoulder straps move with the body, while VariFlex hip fins follow the wearer's movement when walking. Together with the ECL hip fins, the system distributes the load close to the body and onto the hips. The VariClick system offers five back-length adjustment positions, while two anchor points for the stabilizer straps allow further adjustment to the wearer's height.
For organized packing, the pack features a separate bottom compartment, an inner compartment for wet gear as well as inner and outer lid compartments. Generous side and hip-fin pockets keep frequently used items within reach, while the lid can be adjusted in height or removed completely. Deuter recommends a load of 10 to 20 kg.

The women-specific nature of the SL back length is already apparent in the back length: on average, women's backs are not quite as long as those of men. The carrying system of the SL models is therefore slightly shorter than that of Deuter's standard backpacks. In addition, the carrying system is specially adapted to the female anatomy.
