This close-fitting Ortles Hybrid Tirolwool® Responsive Insulation Jacket for kids is a favorite of Salewa's athlete team. It has robust Durastretch inserts on the sleeves and sides that have proven themselves in alpine use — yet still feels soft and comfortable!

Kids often complain that they're too cold one minute and too hot the next... sound familiar? Intense physical activity followed by periods of rest can increase the risk of hypothermia. The thermoregulating Ortles Hybrid Jacket is designed to meet the specific insulation needs of the upper body during high-energy activities on colder days.

The lightweight TirolWool® Responsive insulation combines innovative polyester fibers enriched with thermoreactive minerals with wool from Tyrolean sheep. The heat emitted by the body is absorbed and converted into infrared energy, which is stored and reflected back – keeping you warm for longer. In addition, TirolWool® Responsive is water-repellent, breathable, and keeps kids warm even when their jacket is soaking wet.

The jacket has two zippered side pockets and a chest pocket, also with a zipper. The insulated hood offers your child extra protection, and the PFC-free DWR treatment makes the jacket particularly weatherproof.
