You like walking, but you also like climbing on rock. The MTN Trainer GTX approach shoe from Salewa was developed precisely for this situation.

The Salewa MTN Trainer 2 GTX approach shoe is a robust and versatile shoe for alpine approaches, with a 1.6 mm thick suede upper and a Vibram outsole. The hardwearing upper has a protective rubber rand for 360° abrasion resistance and a quick-drying GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining for waterproofness and breathability. An elasticated gaiter under the laces protects against rain and water. 

The improved last construction is 15 % lighter and more flexible and offers a comfortable fit, while the PU midsole provides shock absorption and rebound. The Vibram outsole with its deep, self-cleaning grooves and aggressive lugs provides grip on rocks, scree, mud and grass. The midfoot area has a special via ferrata profile for better grip on metal ladders. 

The 3F system of the Salewa MTN Trainer 2 GTX approach shoe provides flexibility, fit and support, while the padded OrthoLite footbed wicks away moisture and keeps feet cool. The lacing system of the climbing shoe enables precise adjustment in the toe area.
