On the outside, robust PERTEX® QUANTUM fabric provides protection, whilst on the inside, Swisswool BLACK – the rare wool from black sheep in the Swiss Alps – is used in varying weights: on the front and upper sleeves, it provides warmth at 150 g/m², whilst in the hood and lower sleeves, the lighter 120 g/m² version is less bulky.

The adjustable sleeve cuffs with elasticated inner cuffs fit comfortably over gloves and reliably keep the wind out, as does the high collar with a fine merino mesh lining. The Ortovox Swisswool Zinal insulation jacket for women offers plenty of freedom of movement for athletic turns and supports the back with a lining made from 100% merino wool!
