The Ortovox Downwool 180 is a lightweight and comfortably warm insulation jacket for year-round use in the mountains. Whether worn as an outer layer in dry conditions or as a warm mid-layer under a shell, it offers reliable protection and a balanced body temperature.

The DownWool® by Grüezi bag® insulation, comprising 70 % down and 30 % wool, delivers exceptional thermal performance. It combines the benefits of both natural fabrics: the wool absorbs moisture and helps the down to maintain its loft or even increase it by up to 30 %. This means that the insulation performance remains pleasantly consistent even during strenuous climbs or in damp conditions, without you overheating too quickly.

The windproof and water-repellent outer fabric, made from 100 % polyamide, offers additional protection in changeable weather. A protective collar, elasticated cuffs and the adjustable hem ensure a comfortable fit and reliably keep cold air out. The extended back panel provides extra coverage, whilst two front pockets offer space for essential small items.

Handy for when you’re on the move: the jacket packs down compactly into the included stuff sack with a fastening loop, so it fits easily into your rucksack. This makes the Ortovox Downwool 180 insulation jacket a versatile companion for mountain tours, hikes and outdoor adventures in any season.
