The Ortovox Downwool 180 Hooded is a lightweight and warm insulation jacket designed for year-round use in the mountains. Whether worn as an outer layer on dry days or as a warm mid-layer under a shell, it reliably maintains a comfortably balanced body temperature.

At the heart of the jacket is the DownWool® by Grüezi bag® insulation, which combines the benefits of down and wool. The blend of 70 % down and 30 % wool offers excellent thermal performance whilst keeping the weight low. The wool absorbs any moisture that builds up and helps the down to maintain its loft or even increase it by up to 30 %. This ensures that thermal performance remains constant even during strenuous ascents or in damp conditions, without quickly leading to uncomfortable heat build-up.

The windproof and water-repellent outer fabric, made from 100 % polyamide, provides additional protection against changeable mountain weather. This makes the Downwool 180 Hooded insulation jacket from Ortovox a versatile companion for tours in any season – lightweight, functional and comfortably warm.
