To make the ski touring shorts particularly light, elastic and robust, Ortovox uses Merino Naturetec Light as the main material: it ensures excellent breathability as well as elasticity and yet has a wind-repellent effect. Technical inserts in the front area, made from a special three-layer Warp Knit material with a windproof membrane, protect against the elements but still remain breathable. At the same time, air pockets in the fabric provide light insulation. For the sake of the environment, the shorts are PFC-free and climate-neutral.

The details are tailored to the benefits of ski touring shorts: the back is completely windproof and waterproof thanks to the Dermizax NX membrane. The adjustable waistband with drawcord offers easy adjustment, while soft inserts in the waistband made from a merino material mix increase comfort. The shorts can be put on and taken off quickly with the help of the zip openings at the sides.
