Technology

Suspension Blade
The Suspension Blade is an external suspension arm on the outside of the boot. The upper cuff shell slides between the blade and the lower shell. This innovation unites smooth movement of both boot sections with the mechanical advantage of leverage. It offers greater absorption while delivering more power to the ski. The upper elastomer allows for adjusting flex, snap, and rebound in the upper boot area.

Dual Pivot
Traditional ski boots have one pivot and two closely positioned fixed points. On the new Shadow, these two points are set far apart to generate better leverage and gain a mechanical advantage.

New Auxetic Technology
Auxetic technology transforms a two-dimensional material into a three-dimensional one during thermoforming. This effect improves adaptation to the foot shape for excellent fit and customization.

Flex Adjust
You can fine-tune your flex by switching the elastomers on the dual pivot and blade at the back of the shell. Changing between soft and hard elastomers adjusts the boot's flex by about 10%.

Asymmetrical one piece toe box
Lange redesigned the toe box asymmetrically to better adapt to the shape of your foot and leave room for your toes. This prevents pressure points.
