THE DEVELOPMENTS CONTINUE

Lange is looking back at a long tradition. The company´s roots date back to 1948, when Robert (Bob) Lange made the first recorded attempt to develop a plastic-reinforced ski boot, using polyester resin. In 1962, the first ski boot with laces was released. After another three years, the first ski boot with metal buckles followed. And in 1967 the brand had already achieved first successes. In this year Nancy Green from Canada won the first inaugural World Cup with a Lange ski boot.

MORE ACHIEVEMENTS

At the Olympic Games in Grenoble in 1968, the Lange Competition boot won five Olympic gold medals. The special feature of these Olympic games was the fact that over 70% of the participants were wearing Lange boots. The success continued with three gold medals at the Sapporo Olympics.
