Technology

Poplar Core
Poplar is a light-colored, medium-weight, durable softwood with good flex and pop as well as excellent vibration damping. Because only a single type of wood is used, the ski pops, butters, and stomps like a classic park ski. At the same time, it offers sufficient torsional stability for impressive grip on descents.

Elliptical Sidecut
The elliptical radius sidecut consists of a longer radius underfoot and shorter radii in the tip and tail. The longer radius in the middle increases turn versatility, while the shorter radius in the tip and tail allows for easier turn initiation. This sidecut guarantees a wide range of turn lengths, radii, and mounting positions (stay tuned for our mounting guide).

Directional Twin Tip
A noticeably narrower tail compared to the tip provides ultimate downhill performance – attack mode on the mountain. The twin-shaped tail stands for playfulness and freestyle attitude, allowing you to ski switch with ease.

Mustache Flex
The “Mustache Flex” provides stability underfoot for solid edge hold, combined with a soft, progressive flex in the tips and tails to easily absorb all the different bumps and leftover snow the mountain throws at you.

Micro-Cap Construction
The Micro-Cap construction is a blend of premium sandwich sidewall construction with a lightweight, durable cap construction. Thanks to Micro-Cap, the sandwich construction delivers excellent edge grip and torsional stability, while the topsheet wraps around and meets the sidewall, protecting the vulnerable connection point.

Recycled Materials
Faction works with its production partners to ensure that no waste materials are generated. Currently, leftover base, sidewall, and topsheet materials are mixed back into the ski raw material, reducing emissions while maintaining consistent quality and durability.
