Faction: Collective Activism for a sustainable Future

The Faction Collective is an independent group of skiers, artists, filmmakers, engineers, partners, dreamers and makers who are so much more than the sum of their parts. What unites them is a love of the mountains - and a responsibility to our planet. Incidentally, the story of Faction began as a small revolution, driven by a handful of skiers who came up with new ideas in the Alpine playgrounds around Verbier. Innovations in lightweight hybrid cores, rockers and recycled materials have propelled the company's rise to the ranks of the ski manufacturing elite. Combined with its high quality standards, Faction is committed to finding suppliers that reflect its vision of a sustainable future. To reduce transportation-related emissions, Faction sources most of its raw materials from Europe, where its skis are also manufactured. Most of the raw materials are FSC certified. This means that the forests where the wood comes from are managed in such an environmentally and socially sustainable way. The softgoods are also made of ecological materials such as organic cotton. And Faction is a partner in the 1 % for the Planet initiative - donating 1 percent of Agent Series Ski sales to approved environmental non-profits.
