The Deuter Aircontact Lite 40 + 10 is a trekking backpack designed for longer hikes and multi-day trips with a larger amount of gear. Its Aircontact Lite back system combines open-cell functional foam with a ventilation channel, while a recessed section in the back provides additional space to relieve pressure on the spine.

An X-frame transfers the load to the ergonomically shaped ECL hip fins, whose padding wraps closely around the hips. This keeps the load controlled and close to the body when carrying heavier gear. A zip-out divider helps organize the storage space, while an elasticated inner compartment provides separate storage for items such as wet clothing. Valuables can be kept in a dedicated inner compartment, and the removable lid adds flexibility when packing. Deuter recommends a load of 12 to 15 kg.
