Product details: Faction La Machine 4 25/26 Skis
The Faction La Machine is called "Massive". That leaves no doubt as to where it belongs. Namely in the deepest pow you can find. And with 1700 g/ski you are agile enough to find it.
Faction La Machine Massive 4 bridges the gap between the 3 and the über-fat 5. La Machine 4’s construction mirrors that of the 3. This 117 mm beauty perfectly suits the skier who craves a wide yet light free-touring ski for extended backcountry missions, when soft snow is on the menu.
La Machine 5 is the dream heli or cat tool, while the 4 holds its own edging on firmer snow, providing trustworthiness when one finds oneself in a hairy spot off the grid.

Technology
Light paulownia core
Paulownia is an extremely light wood core with good strength properties. The little-known Karuba offers good flex and excellent vibration damping without additional weight. This makes it the perfect wood core for a touring ski.
Full Carbon Layers
Two continuous carbon fibre plates between the wood core make for a lightweight yet responsive and torsionally stiff ski
Mustache Flex
The ‘Mustache Flex’ provides stability underfoot for solid edge hold, with a soft, progressive flex in the tips and tails to easily absorb all the various bumps and snow debris that the mountain brings with it
Elliptical sidecut
The elliptical radius sidecut consists of a longer radius underfoot and shorter radii in the tip and tail. The wide radius in the centre increases the turning ability, while the shorter radius in the tip and tail enables easier turn initiation. This sidecut guarantees a wide range of turn lengths, radii and mounting positions
Extended tip/ski tail rocker
Faction rely on an extended rocker, a negative preload in the tip and tail, which together with the centre width is the most important element for floatation in powder snow.
Extended rocker also makes turning and turn initiation easier and reduces the risk of tipping.
Specify the desired mounting point in the comments field (during the ordering process)! Faction binding mounting recommendation according to the skier's specific requirements:
• Classic
Offers optimal carving capabilities. Mounting at the “Classic” mark optimizes float in deep snow. Best suited for: Skiers with a traditional stance, former racers, and big mountain enthusiasts.
• Progressive
“Progressive” is the recommended mounting position for the Prodigy, Dancer, La Machine, and Agent product lines. It is the most versatile position and offers a balance between carving performance and maneuverability. Ideal for: All-rounders who are into both freeriding and freestyle.
• New School
The "New School" position is for those who ski with a playful, freestyle-influenced style and want to maximize their turning ability and potential for butters, tricks, and spins. Also ecommended for the Mana series. Ideal for: Pure freestylers.
