Product details: Völkl M7 Mantra W 26/27 Skis Women
With the Völkl M7 Mantra W, you get a versatile women’s ski that offers a stable, agile and confident ride both on and off-piste in a wide variety of conditions.
Take a pinch of the powder-loving Mantra 102 W, add a little of the on-piste expertise of the Mantra 88 W, and you get the delightfully versatile combination that is the M7 Mantra W. This next-generation ski is characterised by enhanced stability, responsiveness and manoeuvrability, offering even greater versatility for an exciting experience both on and off-piste.
The secret to its improved performance lies in Völkl’s innovations: the Tailored Titanal Frame ensures stability, whilst the Tailored Carbon Tips provide responsiveness. Unlike its predecessor, the M7 Mantra W features the 4 Radius Drive design – a further development of the tried-and-tested 3D Radius Sidecut and a Völkl innovation not yet found in any other model. With this technology, Völkl sets a new benchmark for the variability of the turning radius, combining easy handling with rock-solid stability. Maximum versatility for varying snow conditions on and off-piste, with increased stability on hard surfaces and improved performance on soft snow.
The 96 mm waist width allows you to tackle almost any snow depth without compromising performance in either direction. If you’re the sort of person who’s prepared to take on almost any conditions, then the Völkl M7 Mantra W is the right ski for you.

Technology:
4 Radius Drive
An innovation from Völkl that no other manufacturer currently offers. With this technology, Völkl sets new standards in terms of turning radius variability, combining easy handling with rock-solid stability. This new design offers maximum versatility for a range of snow conditions, both on and off-piste, enhanced stability on hard surfaces and improved performance on soft snow.
Radius 1: Approx. 20 m in the front 10 centimetres. A tighter radius only at the ski tip to achieve a more immediate response to the skier’s initial edge movement; maximum precision and agility.
Radius 2: Approx. 40 m in the section between the ski tip and the binding. The open radius in the front section of the ski gives it greater resistance to disturbances and stability at high speeds.
Radius 3: Approx. 15 m in the area beneath the binding. The tight radius in the camber section gives the ski greater agility even with slight edge movements by the skier, thereby ensuring the necessary build-up of momentum during short turns and radical carving manoeuvres.
Radius 4: Approx. 25 metres in the area behind the binding to the tip of the ski. The moderate radius at the tip of the ski ensures controlled and situation-appropriate dynamics at the end of the turn and offers optimum support during the transition into the next turn.
Multilayer Woodcore
The sidewall continues into the interior of the ski in the form of extremely stable layers of wood directly bonded to the flanks of the sandwich core. Combined with a more flexible, lighter wood in the centre of the sandwich core, this construction offers numerous advantages: The hardwood component within the sidewall ensures increased power transfer, contributes to better edge grip and supports the edge when subjected to external forces. The softwood component in the centre of the ski, thanks to its lower weight, provides greater agility and manoeuvrability. The combination of both types of wood across the entire length of the ski contributes to an optimal distribution of stiffness and enables more precise ski control. This construction offers highly competitive skiers a combination of manoeuvrability and stability, which can make the difference in those crucial hundredths of a second between victory and defeat.
Base P-Tex 2100
Sintered, ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene base with high density, excellent wear resistance and very good gliding properties.
Full Sidewall ABS
The specific synthetic material used in the sidewall enables precise and direct power transfer.
Tailored Titanal Frame
Völkl’s new key technology is called the Tailored Titanal Frame. In contrast to previous construction methods, the width of the Titanal frame is now precisely adapted to each individual ski length. This results in bespoke Tailored Titanal Frames, which lie over the sidewall at the tip and tail of the ski, providing the desired damping and torsional stiffness in these areas. The size of the frames is tailored to the skier’s height, ability and strength. This means that longer models have a higher proportion of Titanal for greater stiffness, even more direct power transfer and stronger damping. The shorter the model, the lower the proportion of Titanal, which makes the ski more manoeuvrable, allowing even smaller and lighter skiers with less strength to make full use of the ski’s versatility. The result: Tailored Titanal Frame technology gives every ski an unrivalled combination of responsiveness and speed stability.
Tailored Carbon Tips
In the new, tailor-made carbon tips – the Tailored Carbon Tips – this innovative manufacturing process involves ‘embroidering’ the individual carbon fibres onto a substrate. This allows them to be positioned precisely along the lines of force, which opens up entirely new possibilities, particularly in the tip area. This is because the tip has a decisive influence on the ski’s handling. By adjusting the fibre thickness and aligning them with millimetre precision, stiffness, torsion and thus the skiing characteristics can be specifically tailored. In this way, the fibres channel the dynamics to the areas of the ski where they are needed. The visibly integrated Tailored Carbon Tips are lightweight, enable an agile tip engagement with less effort and build up energy quickly. As a result, the Tailored Carbon Tips take precision, direct tip response and active skiing enjoyment to a whole new level.
Tip & Tail Rocker
Character: Rocker only in the tip and tail sections, camber in the binding area.
