The Völkl Blaze 86 is a versatile all-mountain ski in freeride dimensions that offers the low weight of a touring ski.

The ski builds on the strengths of its predecessor models: Lightness, versatility and agility. By dispensing with Titanal, the Blaze 86 is not only livelier, but also lighter. It is designed for fast, tight turns, but the three different radii of the sidecut also master challenging terrain, high speeds and long, wide turns.

The rockered shovels and ends give the ski composure, increase float and support it off-piste. The Blaze 86 is a great option for ski touring and backcountry ladies who are willing to accept 100 grams of extra weight for a significantly improved skiing experience.

The ski features a lightweight, high-performance solid wood tip-to-tail core that makes ascents and descents a pleasure, except when the snow is too deep. This technologically versatile construction gives the Blaze 86 an intuitive feel and a high degree of creativity.

Multilayer Woodcore Light
The Multilayer Woodcore Light consists of hard wood in the center area around the screws and very light, slotted wood in the outer zone. In the alpine range the models benefit from the weight reduction and allow very sporty turns and speeds.

Base P-Tex 2100
A sintered high-density and high molecular polyethylene base with great gliding characteristics and high durability

3D Radius Sidecut
Three radii in one ski for maximum manoeuvrability and speed in all-mountain use.
The wider radii in the tip and tail are ideal for wide turns and high speeds. 
The narrow radius in the centre favours tight turns and moderate speed.

Suspension Tips & Tails
Inserts made of elastic TPU material on the edges of the tip and tail which act like a bumper in wind-blown or tracked snow. Its shock-absorbing elasticity ensures better stability and catch-free float.

Full Sidewall
Direct and strong powertransmission with full length sidewalls.

Tip & Tail Rocker
Character: Bends up only in the shovel and tail zones, with a camber shape in the middle
