With the Völkl Blaze 114, you get a versatile freeride ski that offers an agile, stable and powerful ride in off-piste terrain, whatever the conditions.

When it comes to performance, the Blaze 114 is perfectly suited to off-piste adventures. Thanks to its efficient weight-to-performance ratio, it’s also well suited as a freeride touring ski. But it really comes into its own on the descent. The relatively tight 18 m radius, relative to the ski’s length of 192 cm, ensures a level of manoeuvrability previously unseen in this category. This is further enhanced by an open radius at both the tip and tail, combined with Tip & Tail Rocker. 

To ensure smooth running at high speeds, the 3D Radius Sidecut in the centre of the ski, directly above the sidewall, has been fitted with a 0.3 mm-thick Titanal plate. This allows the ski to be steered with great precision – something you notice every time you initiate a turn. Incidentally, these handling characteristics also work very well for the occasional run on groomed slopes! To keep this all-mountain ski as agile as possible, no Titanal is used on the outer edges at the front and rear. 

The Völkl Blaze 114 is designed with increasing flex in relation to ski length, so that taller or heavier skiers benefit from the same handling characteristics as shorter or lighter skiers on shorter skis.

Titanal Binding Platform
A 0.3 mm-thick sheet of Titanal provides the necessary rigidity in the binding area. The binding screws thus offer the proven reliability of a metal ski, even under the toughest conditions.

Full Sidewall ABS
The specific synthetic material used in the sidewall enables precise and direct power transfer.

Suspension Tips & Tails
Inserts made of elastic, rubber-like material at the edges of the tip and tail. In wind-blown or groomed snow, they act as a buffer. Their shock-absorbing elasticity ensures better resistance to disturbances and provides supportive lift.

3D Radius Sidecut
Three radii in one ski for maximum responsiveness and speed in all-mountain conditions. Wider radius at the tip and tail – the wider radii at the tip and tail are ideal for wide turns and high speeds. Easy control and manoeuvrability. Less edge catch. No restriction on turn radii and easy exit from turns. Tight turn radius – the tight radius in the middle favours tight turns and moderate speed. Extremely easy turn initiation. Super responsive. Effortless and smooth in tight turns.

Base P-Tex 2100
Sintered, ultra-high-molecular-weight, high-density polyethylene base with excellent wear resistance and very good gliding properties.

Tip & Tail Rocker
Characteristics: Rocker only at the tip and tail, camber in the binding area
