The Tatonka Emergency Blanket protects against undercooling, wetness or wind, for example during weather changes on excursions and hikes. To retain a person's own body heat, the silver side must be turned inwards. The heat is not generated by insulation, but by reflection of the body's heat radiation.

To protect a person from overheating, turn the gold side inward. Caution: Do not wrap the person! The blanket should rather be used as a kind of sun awning.
