The Petzl Meteor helmet is a lightweight, compact climbing and mountaineering helmet for year-round use on rock and alpine terrain. It combines high wearing comfort with comprehensive protection and is also suitable for people with long hair.

The in-mold construction combines an expanded polystyrene inner shell with a thin polycarbonate outer shell for a compact, comfortable fit. The head-enclosing design increases impact protection in the side, front, and rear of the head in accordance with the Petzl TOP AND SIDE PROTECTION label. Large ventilation openings support continuous air circulation, even during intense passages.

The semi-rigid OMEGA headband is easy to adjust and has a generous recess for a ponytail. The minimalist chin strap buckle is equipped with a locking cover. Two headlamp clips at the front and an elastic band at the back allow for secure attachment of a headlamp. The headband can be stored in the helmet shell for storage. Comfort padding and buckles are available as replacement parts.
