Product details: Madshus Panorama M50 Intelligrip Transition 25/26 Backcountry Ski
The Madshus Panorama M50 IntelliGrip® Transition is a versatile backcountry cross-country ski designed for touring off the groomed trails. As the narrowest model in the Panorama series, it is particularly well-suited to firmer snow conditions and offers a balanced combination of efficient propulsion, stability and control. With a sidecut of 60–50–55 mm, it remains comparatively agile and responsive.
A distinctive feature of the Panorama M50 is its 3/4 steel edge. It begins only behind the front section of the ski, allowing the tip to remain flexible and better absorb bumps and impacts. At the same time, the steel edge provides reliable edge grip and additional control on hard or icy surfaces.
The Multicore wood core with a triaxial cap construction combines stability with a harmonious flex. The gliding surface features a P-Tex 2000 Electra base with an integrated skin pocket. The ski can be used in the classic style with climbing wax or fitted with a suitable IntelliGrip® Transition Skin.
The IntelliGrip® Transition System allows the use of a removable climbing skin. A recessed skin pocket ensures the smoothest possible transition between the base and the skin, thereby reducing friction and minimising the risk of icing. The matching Transition skin is available separately and is not included with the skis.
The Panorama M50 is therefore aimed at ski tourers looking for a high-performance backcountry ski for variable conditions who appreciate both the flexibility of a waxable ski and the ease of use of a climbing skin.

Your body weight is the key factor when choosing your ski length (size). If you fall between two weight ranges, it is advisable for beginners to opt for the shorter ski. If you are a technically advanced skier, the longer ski is recommended.
