The new Edelrid Ohm offers even greater ease of use – and increased braking power when there are large differences in weight.

The second generation of the innovative and successful Edelrid Ohm comes with several updates for easier usability. The series resistor for increasing the braking effect in rope teams with large weight differences has a swivel joint that gives the device more freedom of movement.

This means that the direction in which the device is attached to the first hook is no longer important. The locking system prevents the device from opening accidentally and makes it much easier to insert the rope and remove the device when lowering.

Features:
• Installed in the first hook of the belay chain
• No restriction of handling when lead climbing (no rope friction when feeding rope)
• For single ropes with a diameter of 8.9 - 11.0 mm
• Significantly lower forces act on the belayer
• Lowering a heavier person is much easier to control
• In the event of a fall into the first hook, the device reduces the risk of collision
• ‘Makes the belayer 25 kg heavier’
• Minimum weight of belayer: 40 kg
• Approved rope diameter: 8.9 - 11 mm

Please note: Unlike the Ohm, the carabiner is not included with the Ohm II.
