The Deuter Freerider 24 is a lightweight freeride backpack designed for ski touring and backcountry descents. Its close-fitting LiteSnow back system keeps the load close to your body, giving you freedom of movement and a stable fit on both the ascent and descent.

The LiteSnow back system combines ergonomic back padding with a construction specifically designed for winter conditions. Snow-shedding materials and the shape of the padding reduce snow build-up and moisture absorption. At 970 grams, the Freerider 24 remains lightweight, while the flexible Delrin® U-frame and padded hip fins support effective load distribution.

The large U-shaped rear opening provides access to the main compartment without having to remove equipment attached to the outside. A dedicated compartment keeps avalanche safety equipment readily accessible, while skis can be carried at the side or diagonally and a snowboard, ice axe and poles can be attached externally. A detachable mesh helmet holder and fleece-lined goggle pocket complete the winter-specific setup.
