Product details: Atomic Backland 109 25/26 Skitouring Skis
The Atomic Backland 109 is the ideal backcountry touring ski for big mountain skiers looking for optimized floatation and lighter weight.
Featuring a more eco-friendly FreeTour Profile that uses more poplar wood and less metal, fiberglass and resin, this ski offers a harmonious flex pattern and agility in changing conditions. The 109 mm center width and lightweight HRZN 3D shovel provide excellent float in powder, while an ash wood insert increases the tear-out resistance of the binding.
The Ultra Light Woodcore made of poplar and Karuba wood guarantees low weight with maximum stability. The Powder Rocker, with a strong lift of the tip and tail and preload under the binding, enables effortless steering and playful performance in powder, rutted snow and broken snow. By using more raw materials with less CO2 emissions, production waste has been reduced and CO2 emissions cut by 26%.
Developed with input from Chris Rubens, the Backland 109 is the ultimate freeride touring tool with an outstanding performance-to-weight ratio.
