For the first time, Völkl has incorporated the 3D Radius sidecut, previously only found in freeride and all-mountain models such as the Kanjo or Deacon. This construction combines three different radii that merge seamlessly along the entire length of the ski. The ski’s turning behaviour is thus adapted to the edge angle by the dominant sidecut radius. As a result, the ski impresses with exceptional smoothness at high speeds and outstanding resistance to disturbances, even in challenging off-piste conditions.

The exceptionally lightweight, multi-layered wood core enables the ski to be produced with an astonishingly low weight whilst delivering reliable downhill performance. Thanks to the full-length sidewall, the ski is stable and durable. The Völkl Rise Up 82 is, of course, also equipped with the new Smart Skinclip System, allowing the use of Tech Fibre or Smart Glue skins.

Hybrid Multilayer Woodcore
The ultra-light Hybrid Multilayer Woodcore is a highly complex core used in the Blaze. This wood core utilises lightweight yet extremely stable poplar and beech woods, which are individually weighed and selected according to their weight before being glued together. In the tip-to-tail construction, the wood extends all the way to the tip and tail of the ski, resulting in a sophisticated combination of good stability and low weight. In the centre of the core, a CNC-milled Isocore section ensures optimum responsiveness and dynamic characteristics. Overall, this design ensures that the ski’s stability meets the high demands of a freeride ski – whilst weighing only slightly more than a touring ski.

Full Sidewall
ABS is a hard-wearing and durable plastic known for its strength and impact resistance. It offers high resistance to impacts and knocks, making the ski more robust and durable. These sidewalls enable precise power transfer from the skier to the edges of the ski.

Smart Skinclip
The newly developed Smart Skinclip system allows the ski tourer to decide for themselves, depending on the situation, in which direction to attach and remove the skin. A standard carabiner at the tail of the ski allows the skin to be attached and removed from the rear. However, the skin can also be attached and removed quickly and easily from the front. This new flexibility is made possible by an elastic carabiner that is easy to grip, even when wearing gloves. A subtle recess in the tip of the ski provides lateral support for the hook and prevents it from accidentally releasing the skin whilst walking.

3D Radius Sidecut
Three radii in one ski for maximum versatility in turns and speed for all-mountain skiing. Long radii at the tip and tail for wide turns and high speed. Easy control and manoeuvrability. Impact-resistant at the tip. No radius restriction and easy turn initiation. Shorter radius in the centre for short turns and lower speeds.

P-Tex 2100 base
A sintered base made from high-density, high-molecular-weight polyethylene with excellent gliding properties and high durability.

Tip Rocker
Feature: Curves upwards only at the tip, whilst the middle and tail sections of the ski feature a camber shape.
