Product details: Völkl M7 Mantra 26/27 Skis
With the Völkl M7 Mantra, you get a versatile all-mountain ski that offers an agile, stable and precise skiing experience both on and off-piste.
These next-generation skis are characterised by enhanced stability, responsiveness and manoeuvrability, offering even greater versatility for an exhilarating experience both on and off-piste. The secret to their improved performance lies in Völkl’s innovations: the Tailored Titanal Frame ensures stability, whilst the Tailored Carbon Tips provide responsiveness.
Unlike its predecessor, the M6 Mantra, the M7 Mantra features the 4 Radius Drive design – a further development of the tried-and-tested 3D Radius sidecut and a Völkl innovation not yet found in any other model. Maximum versatility for a variety of snow conditions on and off-piste, with increased stability on hard snow and improved performance on soft snow. By adapting the Titanal components to the different ski lengths – and thus to the skier’s proportions – it is possible not only to optimise the weight distribution at the tip and tail, but also to influence torsional stiffness, thereby improving the ski’s handling characteristics. This preserves the familiar stability of a Titanal ski, whilst the M7 Mantra is at the same time noticeably lighter and more agile to control.
The handling characteristics of the M7 Mantra are also enhanced by the bespoke carbon tip. The targeted positioning of the carbon fibres ensures precise tip response and significantly improves the ski’s torsional stiffness. Together, these advancements redefine the possibilities of skiing and set a new standard for enjoyment on the slopes.

4 Radius Drive
An innovation from Völkl that no other manufacturer currently offers. With this technology, Völkl sets new standards in terms of turning radius variability, combining easy handling with rock-solid stability. This new design offers maximum versatility for a range of snow conditions, both on-piste and off-piste, enhanced stability on hard surfaces and improved performance on soft snow.
Radius 1: Approx. 20 m in the front 10 centimetres. A tighter radius only at the ski tip to achieve a more immediate response to the skier’s initial edge movement; maximum precision and agility.
Radius 2: Approx. 40 m in the area between the ski tip and the binding. The open radius in the front section of the ski gives it greater resistance to disturbances and stability at high speeds.
Radius 3: Approx. 15 m in the area beneath the binding. The narrow radius in the camber section gives the ski greater agility even with slight edge movements by the skier, thereby ensuring the necessary build-up of dynamism during short turns and radical carving manoeuvres.
Radius 4: Approx. 25 metres in the area behind the binding to the tail of the ski. The moderate radius at the tail of the ski ensures controlled and situation-appropriate dynamics at the end of the turn and offers optimum support during the transition into the next turn.
Multilayer Woodcore
The sidewall continues into the interior of the ski in the form of extremely stable layers of wood directly bonded to the flanks of the sandwich core. Combined with a more flexible, lighter wood in the centre of the sandwich core, this construction offers numerous advantages: the hardwood component within the sidewall ensures increased power transfer, contributes to better edge grip and supports the edge when subjected to external forces. The softwood section in the centre of the ski, thanks to its lower weight, provides greater agility and manoeuvrability. The combination of both types of wood across the entire length of the ski contributes to optimal stiffness distribution and enables more precise ski control. This construction offers highly competitive skiers a combination of manoeuvrability and stability, which can make the difference in those crucial hundredths of a second between victory and defeat.
Base P-Tex 2100
Sintered, ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene base with high density, excellent wear resistance and very good gliding properties.
Full Sidewall ABS
The specific synthetic material used in the sidewall enables precise and direct power transfer.
Tailored Titanal Frame
Völkl’s new key technology is called the Tailored Titanal Frame. In contrast to previous construction methods, the width of the Titanal frame is now precisely adapted to each individual ski length. This results in bespoke Tailored Titanal Frames, which lie over the sidewall at the tip and tail of the ski, providing the desired damping and torsional stiffness in these areas. The size of the frames is tailored to the skier’s height, ability and strength. This means that longer models have a higher proportion of Titanal for greater stiffness, even more direct power transmission and stronger damping. The shorter the model, the lower the proportion of Titanal, which makes the ski more manoeuvrable, allowing even smaller and lighter skiers with less strength to make full use of the ski’s versatility. The result: Tailored Titanal Frame technology gives every ski an unrivalled combination of responsiveness and speed stability.
Carbon Tip
Carbon in the ski tip ensures very high durability and stability whilst keeping weight to a minimum.
Tip & Tail Rocker
Characteristics: Rocker only at the tip and tail, camber in the binding area.
