Your style on all runs, piste or terrain, the Völkl Kendo 88 ski is there. The all-mountain freerider in state of the art construction with extremely wide range of use for experienced skiers who celebrate powerful turns in all terrain and on all slopes.

Just like the Mantra and Kenja models, the Kendo 88 also comes with a different geometry and a center radius shortened by one meter in the 3D Radius Sidecut. It should be noted that the three different radii combined in one ski generally provide enormously versatile cornering characteristics.

The 16-mater radius in the middle reinforces the radius variability even more. In particular, lovers of tight, full-edge cut turns get their money's worth here. On the one hand, this allows a particularly sporty, intuitive skiing style on groomed slopes, but also ensures the necessary maneuverability for better passage in challenging terrain. Thanks to the shortened center radius, less effort is required.

Built in the Kendo 88 now also Tailored Carbon Tips as well as a Tailored Titanal Frame, and at the latest it is clear: driving fun is virtually the middle name of the Kendo.

The wider radius in tip and tail is ideal for long turns and high speed. Easy control and maneuverability, less blending, no restriction on turn radius and easy exit from the turn, tight inside radius. Tight center radius favors tight turns and moderate speed. Extremely easy turn initiation, super nippy, effortless and smooth in tight turns.

Tailored Titanal Frame
The new key technology is the Tailored Titanal Frame. Unlike the previous design, the width of the Titanal frame is now precisely adjusted to each ski length. This creates tailored frames that lie over the sidewall in the shovel and tail area of the ski, providing desired damping and torsional stiffness. The size of the frames is based on the skier's height, skiing ability and strength. Longer models have more Titanal for stiffness, direct power transfer and damping. Shorter models have less Titanal to make the ski more maneuverable, allowing smaller and lighter skiers to take full advantage of the variability. The result is a unique combination of liveliness and speed stability thanks to the Tailored Titanal Frame technology.

Tailored Carbon Tips
Tailored Carbon Tips are custom carbon blades where the carbon fibers are stitched onto a backing material. This allows them to be precisely positioned along lines of force, opening up new possibilities in blade design. The fiber thickness and orientation allow for specific adjustment of stiffness, torsion, and ride characteristics. The integrated carbon tips are lightweight, agile in retraction and build energy quickly. They offer a new level of precision, direct shovel response and active riding pleasure.

Multilayer Woodcore
The sidewall consists of stable wood layers on the flanks of the ski, combined with lighter wood in the middle of the core. This construction offers many advantages: The hardwood portion in the sidewall improves power transmission, edge grip and edge protection. The lighter softwood in the middle provides agility and maneuverability.

The combination of both wood types over the length of the ski optimizes stiffness distribution and enables precise ski control. This construction offers performance-oriented skiers a balance between agility and stability to win those crucial hundredths of a second.
