Technology:

Smart Skinclip
The newly developed Smart Skinclip system allows the ski tourer to decide for themselves, depending on the situation, in which direction they wish to attach or remove the skin. At the tail end, a standard snap hook ensures that the skin can be attached and removed from the rear. In addition, the skin can be attached and removed quickly and conveniently from the front. This flexibility is made possible by an elastic snap hook, which is easy to grip even when wearing gloves. A subtle recess in the tip provides lateral guidance for the hook and prevents the skin from coming loose accidentally whilst walking.

Full Carbon Jacket
A material composition offering direct power transfer, smooth running and stability, whilst keeping weight to a minimum.

3D.Ridge Carbon
The wooden core, which is raised in the centre of the ski, flattens out significantly towards the sides, resulting in a significant weight reduction whilst simultaneously reducing the moment of inertia. The carbon wrapping ensures the necessary stability.

Centre Sidewall
In combination with the ultra-slim 3D.Ridge construction, the partial sidewall in the centre of the ski ensures direct and very solid power transfer.

Base P-Tex 4504
Sintered, ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene base with extremely high density. P-Tex 4504 is not only particularly wear-resistant, it also offers the best wax absorption and is extremely fast. At Völkl, this base is used exclusively on top-of-the-range models and racing skis. The material composition has been enhanced with special additives. This results in thermal and electrical conductivity that consistently achieves top marks in terms of glide and speed performance.

3D Hybrid Multilayer Woodcore
A highly dynamic wood core combining spruce, poplar and beech around an Isocore in the centre of the ski, with a particularly lightweight hardwood-poplar composite in the outer sections. The 3D Hybrid Multilayer Woodcore is also fitted in the Deacon V.Werks, amongst others.
