With the Völkl Blaze 94, you get a versatile all-mountain and freeride ski that offers a light, agile and controlled skiing experience in a wide variety of conditions.

The Blaze 94 is designed for an extremely wide range of conditions and performs superbly in almost all situations. The 0.3 mm-thick Titanal layer on the binding platform ensures impressively direct power transfer from the skier’s movements to the ski’s action. As the Titanal is located only under the foot, this creates an incredibly fun and responsive turning experience, immediately upon initiating the turn and with minimal effort.

Although designed for short turn radii, the 4 Radius Drive sidecut and the Hybrid Multilayer Woodcore significantly enhance the ski’s liveliness and manoeuvrability in any type of turn. With its very low weight and the addition of Suspension Tip and Tail (essentially a rubber-like ‘buffer’ for anything the ski comes into contact with), it’s also a fantastic touring ski.

Technology:

Titanal Binding Platform
A 0.3 mm-thick sheet of Titanal provides the necessary strength in the binding area. The binding screws thus offer the proven reliability of a metal ski, even under the toughest conditions.

Full Sidewall ABS
The specialised synthetic material used in the sidewall enables precise and direct power transfer.

Suspension Tips & Tails
Inserts made from elastic, rubber-like material at the tips and tails. In wind-blown or groomed snow, they act as a buffer. Their shock-absorbing elasticity ensures better resistance to disturbances and provides additional lift.

4 Radius Drive
An innovation from Völkl that no other manufacturer currently offers. With this technology, Völkl sets new standards in turning radius variability, combining easy handling with rock-solid stability. This new design offers maximum versatility for a range of snow conditions, both on-piste and off-piste, enhanced stability on hard surfaces and improved performance on soft snow.
Radius 1: Approx. 20 m in the front 10 centimetres. A tighter radius only at the tip of the ski to achieve a more immediate response to the skier’s initial edge movement; maximum precision and agility.
Radius 2: Approx. 40 m in the area between the ski tip and the binding. The open radius in the front section of the ski gives it greater resistance to disturbances and stability at high speeds.
Radius 3: Approx. 15 m in the area beneath the binding. The tight radius in the camber section gives the ski greater agility even with slight edge movements by the skier, thereby ensuring the necessary build-up of momentum during short turns and radical carving manoeuvres.
Radius 4: Approx. 25 metres in the area behind the binding to the tail of the ski. The moderate radius at the tail of the ski ensures controlled and situation-appropriate dynamics at the end of the turn and offers optimum support during the transition into the next turn.

3D.GLASS
Völkl’s 3D.Glass development once again enhances a ski’s handling characteristics and stability, particularly in difficult snow conditions. Compared with a classic glass construction, the three-dimensional, multi-folded fabric layers in front of and behind the binding area result in increased edge grip and a more responsive rebound of the ski during turns. 1. 3D.Glass is integrated into the tip and tail of the ski – a flat fibreglass structure beneath the binding makes the centre softer. This enables variable turning radii at any speed. 2. Fibreglass over the sidewall – ensures improved edge grip on icy slopes. 3. Vertical fibreglass structure in the front and rear sections of the ski – greater agility during rapid edge-to-edge transitions.

Base P-Tex 2100
Sintered, ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene base with high density, excellent wear resistance and very good gliding properties.

Tip & Tail Rocker
Characteristics: Rocker only at the tip and tail, camber in the binding area
