The Skylotec OBX BGL is a hot-forged, oval, screw-lock carabiner made of a lightweight alloy. It is ideal for alpine activities such as mountaineering, climbing and rope manoeuvres. Thanks to its oval shape, it is ideal for attaching devices with a larger cross-section, such as pulleys, ascenders and fall arrest devices. It also allows for optimal positioning of devices and ropes.

The carabiner is equipped with a screw gate and ACL technology. The latter enables secure attachment to the harness loop and ensures the carabiner is correctly aligned with the device, even during challenging manoeuvres. The curved, ergonomic back shape improves handling and makes opening the gate easier.

Reinforced contact surfaces ensure smoother rope glide whilst also increasing wear resistance. Thanks to the smooth, jam-free design between the nose and the inner section of the connector, anchors, tools and ropes can be easily attached and detached.
